5 big takeaways from the Supernatural Season 15, Episode 8 promo
The Supernatural Season 15 fall finale is here very soon. Here are the top five takeaways from the Season 15, Episode 8 promo.
Supernatural Season 15, Episode 8 is the last episode of the year. It’s also the last episode of the decade. The midseason finale promises plenty of thrills, shocks, and wild rides.
The promo is now available to watch, and we’ve got a lot of elements of it to break down. On the surface, it looks like brothers could come together, but is that really going to be the case? What does Adam owe them?
Here’s a look at the promo and synopsis for the Season 15 fall finale, before we get into the breakdown. After this, there may be spoilers if you consider the promo and synopsis spoilers.
"Sam (Jared Padalecki), Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Castiel’s (Misha Collins) continued search for a way to defeat Chuck (guest star Rob Benedict) leads them to unexpected places and toward unlikely allies."
5. Taking the fight to God?
More from Supernatural
- Jensen Ackles and The Winchesters cast kick off #SaveTheWinchesters campaign
- Will The Winchesters be saved? (Can Supernatural fans save the prequel?)
- Did The Winchesters get renewed? (Is The Winchesters season 2 happening?)
- Is a new episode of The Winchesters on tonight? (March 14, 2023)
- The Winchesters Season1 finale explained: Did it connect to Supernatural?
Now that they know God is still around, Team Free Will needs to take the fight to God. After all, God isn’t going to come to them, is he? Or maybe he is. How do we know that God isn’t writing all of this, so he knows exactly what is going to happen?
Sam realizes that God is weak, though. He may believe that God has no control over the future. It will be interesting to see as the team get together to take the fight to God in Las Vegas.

4. Finally get Adam from the Cage
After years of wondering when it would happen, the Winchesters are finally heading to the Cage to free their brother, Adam. Oh, and he’s certainly going to make a point of noting how long he’s been down there. You can’t blame him really.
Of course, we have to question if it’s Adam. Could this be Michael instead? Maybe it’s Michael pretending to be Adam? That’s something to find out during the Supernatural Season 15 fall finale.
3. Adam isn’t interested in helping
If it is Adam, he’s not interested in helping his halfbrothers. Who can blame him? They left him in the Cage for 10 years. When Dean was given the choice of Sam’s soul or Adam’s life, he chose Sam. Adam may not know that, but he knows that the Winchester brothers didn’t bother to even try to get him.
So, he’s not interested in helping, and I can’t blame him. What’s going to twist him into helping? He’ll find out that he can’t go to Heaven (presumably when he dies because he’s still alive) since he’s been to Hell, so could that be what makes him fight the good fight?
2. Dean is back with Team Free Will
After a few weeks of not really wanting to focus on hunting or the fight against God, Dean is back in the fold. During “Last Call,” he had to face an old friend who had turned into a monster. While it was heartbreaking, it gave Dean the reminder that he needed. He is important in the world.
And so, now with the knowledge that God is weak, Dean is back in the fold. He’s joining Team Free Will on this fight.
1. We’re gonna get a cliffhanger
Hey, the promo doesn’t specifically tell us that but it is extremely clear with the reminder that this is the midseason finale. Supernatural has always given us cliffhangers when it goes on breaks. Even the very first season did that.
So, we should expect nothing different this time. The show will leave us with some big cliffhanger moment, probably the fear that God has the upper hand.
