Supernatural Season 15, Episode 5 brought back a character we weren’t expecting. It’s left us with plenty of questions, and here are the top five.

Supernatural Season 15 has been a season of returning characters. Some certainly need closure, but others are back for the fun of it. And others are back to cause trouble for the Winchesters. Episode 5, titled “Proverbs 17:3,” brought back one to cause trouble.

That return certainly raised questions. Are you ready to get into what the biggest questions are after that shocking episode? Here are the five that I need answers to right now.

5. So God can go into the Empty?

Billie made it clear in Supernatural Season 11 that God couldn’t go to the Empty. It would be the one place the Winchesters couldn’t come back from. It looks like she lied.

Or did she lie? Is it possible that God was the one to lie to Death and Death passed on the bad information to his reapers, leading to Billie having bad info? I’m sure this is something that will be cleared up soon.

What’s clear now, though, is that God can head to the Empty. He can bring back all the demons and angels that he wants and this isn’t good for the Winchester brothers.

4. How many villains will return?

Just how many villains will we see return? Could this end up being a greatest villains vs. greatest allies situation? It would certainly make sense, as this is the entire world at risk.

The problem is bringing back too many villains will be a bad thing, just like bringing back too many heroes. The focus should be on the Winchesters and Castiel stopping God. Too many returning characters mean too much going on and waters down the story.

3. What’s next for Lilith?

Lilith has done the task that she was asked to do. She found The Equilizer and destroyed it. Now what?

She’s already been given orders not to kill the brothers. God wants brother against brother to finish the world off. That’s never going to change. So, Lilith is going to be twiddling her thumbs right now.

The only other thing she could do is head back to Hell to rule. Could we see her take charge of the demons to rally attacks?

2. Where were Jack and Billie in all this?

While God was in the Empty raising Lilith, what were Billie and Jack doing? What was the Shadow doing? We know that all three are doing there. At the end of Supernatural Season 14, Billie woke Jack to tell him that he was needed.

Is this what he was needed for? Did God already have a plan? Was it written somewhere in a book? Is this why Billie woke Jack up? It’s time to answer a few questions about Jack and Billie in the Empty. We’ve still not been back and we’re a quarter of the way through the season already!

1. Can Sam and Dean get the confidence to stop God?

At the very end, Sam and Dean realized that God was back. More than that, they’ve now lost the way to kill him. The only positive to take from it is that Sam is linked to God through some psychic connection, which gives him an in to all the alternate worlds.

Great, but the Winchesters have lost their confidence against him. This is the biggest bad they’ve faced and they’re scared. Understandably so! Now will they get their confidence back to take on God and save the world?
