What projects is Jensen Ackles doing after Supernatural?

Supernatural is coming to an end. The cast and crew will be out of work. Jared Padalecki has something line up but what about Jensen Ackles?

With Supernatural coming to an end, the cast and crew will be looking for new work. Jared Padalecki has already taken on the lead role in the Walker, Texas Ranger reboot pilot. What about Jensen Ackles? What’s he got planned for the future?

While at SPN DC 2019, Ackles was asked that question. It turns out that he’s been putting off the takes of what’s to come right now. His focus is on the final season of Supernatural, which certainly delighted many fans. After all, we want this to be the best season yet and it’s clear that Ackles wants that too. It’s been a huge part of his life for the last 15 years.

But that doesn’t mean he can’t not think about the future. He’ll need to consider his options. If you thought he was just going to run The Family Business Beer Co. with his wife and brother-in-law, you may be disappointed. He’s got meetings coming up, although he wouldn’t say who they would be with.

It’s unclear whether Ackles will continue to act after Supernatural or whether he’ll opt for more time behind the camera. He could always do both, something that Paul Wesley is doing after The Vampire Diaries.

We certainly already know what we’d love to see Jensen Ackles in! It’s got to be a Batman movie, right? We need him as the next Batman as some point in the future. If not Batman, then he needs to be in some sort of superhero movie as the lead.

Of course, he will also want to spend time with his family. The whole point of ending the show was to be with his wife and children more, so he’s likely going to be picky about his projects.
