Supernatural Season 15, Episode 3 images: Finding a way to send spirits back to Hell

The images for Supernatural Season 15, Episode 3 have been released. Team Free Will 2.0 is back together. Sort of. Will they send the spirits back to Hell?

The CW is on the ball with images for Supernatural Season 15. We’ve not even watched the second episode yet and images for Episode 3 are already out. Titled “The Rupture,” here’s a sneak of what we can expect in the episode.

The images certainly don’t give too much away. The only confirmations we have are that Rowena is back (but the synopsis already told us that) and Belphegor seems to be possessing Jack still. It looks like he’s still gained the Winchester brothers’ trusts but how long will that last?

In some of the images, we see that Dean, Castiel, and Belphegor are working together. That’s going to go down great! Castiel and Dean clearly aren’t making up any time soon. The two may still care about each other’s lives, but too much has happened for them to be on speaking terms just yet.

At the same time, Castiel isn’t happy that Jack’s body is being used by a demon. I can’t really blame him. Jack was like a son to Castiel so it’s going to be hard to see Jack but know it’s not really him. However, Castiel is going to have to put those feelings aside if he wants to get rid of all the spirits from Hell.

Then there’s a focus on Rowena and Sam, who are working together in a crypt of sorts. Rowena is going to find any way possible to send the spirits back to Hell and part of me is worried for her. There’s an image of Sam with a sad expression, almost as if he knows he needs to kill Rowena but doesn’t want to.

We know that only Sam will kill Rowena. That’s how every one of her books ends. Unless those books have changed, we know she’s safe unless something drastic happens. Is it possible that she’s going to absorb the souls of Hell and she’ll take them back to Hell with her when she’s killed? After all, with all the bad she’s done, there’s a strong chance she’s heading to Hell.

If not Hell, she may be going to the Empty or even Purgatory. As a natural witch, could she be considered a monster so she can’t go to Heaven or Hell? Or is it possible that the only place for her is in the Empty with the angels and demons? This is something the show hasn’t given us any information on yet, so it will be interesting to see if (and more likely when since it’s the final season) the time comes.
