Team Free Will has a fight coming up now the souls of Hell have been released. Here’s a look at the Supernatural Season 15, Episode 1 synopsis.

The CW has released the synopses for its various returning and new shows for fall 2019. Supernatural is one of them, premiering its 15th and final season on Oct. 10. What does the Supernatural Season 15, Episode 1 synopsis tell us?

Sadly, there’s nothing that we don’t already know. All the synopsis states is that Team Free Will has a fight on its hands. The souls of Hell are out and they want revenge. Some of them are going directly after the Winchesters and Castiel, while others have decided to attack innocent and unsuspecting victims.

The dead are back and they’re free to kill again. Thank you, God, for deciding to destroy the whole of the Earth because the Winchesters refused to follow your orders. Chuck is throwing one hell of a toddler tantrum!

I’ll let you take a look at the synopsis before we look at a little more information about the Season 15 premiere.

"Picking up here we left off last season, Sam (Jared Padalecki), Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Castiel (Misha Collins) are left to defend the world after all the souls in hell have been released and are back on Earth and free to kill again."

As we know from the promo, Team Free Will doesn’t look like its sticking together. Somehow, everyone will get out of the graveyard they’re currently in. However, Dean makes a point of saying it’s him and Sam against the world of evil. Castiel isn’t included and that could be due to Cass and Dean not seeing eye-to-eye recently.

There’s still absolutely no idea what Jack is up to. The last we saw of him, he’d been killed by God and Billie woke him up in the Empty. She has a job for him, and hopefully, it’s to help save the world.

John Showalter directed the Season 15 premiere. He’s also credited for two more upcoming episodes of Season 15, according to IMDb: Episodes 6 and 19. He joined the series as a director in 2010, directing the popular “Dead Men Don’t Wear Plaid,” and has been involved ever since up to “Game Night” most recently.

This isn’t Showalter’s first Supernatural premiere. It’s also not his first time dealing with vengeful or violent spirits. He directed one of my favorite creepy episodes, “Advance Thanatology.”
