Sometimes you don’t have time to watch a full season. When it comes to Supernatural Season 6, these are the four episodes you could skip.

Why would you possibly want to skip an episode of Supernatural? I know that’s a question many of you are asking right now. But sometimes, you just don’t have the time to watch a full season, so you want to cut out the filler. There are four episodes you’d get away with skipping in Supernatural Season 6.

These episodes are more monster-of-the-week than important to the overall storyline. They are also some of the lowest-rated episodes of the season, so don’t worry, you won’t see “The French Mistake” or “My Heart Will Go On” on this list.

Instead, these episodes don’t offer too much in the way of overall story. There’s one exception when it comes to flashes of Sam’s past year, so if you want to get more of that in your rewatch, then you’ll want to watch it. Here are the four episodes you could get away with skipping.

Episode 6: You Can’t Handle the Truth

Veritas pays a visit to Earth in Season 6, Episode 6. Titled “You Can’t Handle the Truth,” the brothers head out on a case together that involves people killing themselves. They literally can’t handle the truths they’re hearing, and Dean ends up infected.

Some of the truths involve his relationship with Lisa. However, there’s a truth he wants to get out: what’s going on with Sam. This is the only real connection to the overall story involving Sam.

We all know now that he was soulless at the time. Do you really need that reminder on an otherwise lower-rated episode?

Episode 8: All Dogs Go to Heaven

Apart from the title, Episode 8 is one of the more forgettable episodes of the series. In fact, you’ll likely initially think it’s the episode where Dean communicates with dogs, but that doesn’t happen until Season 9! So, which one is this?

The Winchesters come across Lucky, a dog who threatens those who attack his owner, Mandy, and her son. Lucky isn’t just any ordinary dog, though. He’s a skinwalker and he and many others are sleeper agents, ready to attack their owners.

There are mentions of the overall storyline involving alphas of all the creatures, but that’s about it. You’ll get away with not bothering with this episode on your next Supernatural Season 6 rewatch.

Episode 13: Unforgiven

This is the episode you may want to watch if you love delving into what Sam did while he was soulless. Otherwise, “Unforgiven” is a relatively tame episode.

Throughout the case, Sam realizes the case is familiar. He’d been on it the year before with Samuel Campbell, and ruthlessly killed victims of the monster. One of those victims was out for revenge.

Episode 14: Mannequin 3: The Reckoning

This is the lowest-rated episode of the entire sixth season. In fact, Supernatural Season 6, Episode 14 is one of my least favorite episodes of the show of all time. It’s one of those forgetful ones that uses a very standard monster: the vengeful spirit.

The only connection to the overall season arc is that of the Braedens. Ben calls Dean with an emergency, but it soon turns out that Lisa has started to move on and Ben isn’t happy about that. Sam deals with a case alone for the most part, so if you love seeing him do that then watch the episode, otherwise, you’ll get away with skipping.
