The Winchesters took on Eve but found out they may have a bigger problem in Supernatural Season 6, Episode 19. Here are the five best lines from the episode.

During Supernatural Season 6, Episode 19, the Winchesters finally took Eve out. However, if only this was their big problem. They soon learned that Crowley was alive and up to something.

Before moving onto the next episode, it’s time to delve into this one. Here are my five favorite lines from “Mommy Dearest.”

You don’t know how hard it is – not to give in. Everyone gives in.

I love that this episode brought Lenore the vampire back. It was an excellent throwback to Season 2 and fit so perfectly into the episode. Out of all the monsters up to this point, turning to Lenore was just right. There were no other monsters that the Winchesters had allowed to live and had even helped.

However, this line showed just how desperate Lenore was. She was struggling with Eve being on Earth. It meant that she would kill, and she couldn’t do that. Not again.

Well, that’s great, because without your power, you’re basically just a baby in a trenchcoat.

This is one of the most memorable lines from Supernatural ever. When you look at the sulk on Castiel’s face, you can understand why Dean would call him a baby in a trenchcoat.

However, this line stands out for many more reasons than the humor. Misha Collins forgot the line that came after this one. Instead of cutting, Misha looked outside and Jared Padalecki followed up with “I think you hurt his feelings.” It shows the bond all three men have to be able to ad-lib and work around each other.

I’m fairly unpracticed with firearms.

Castiel takes the next line. For me, this line was more than just a moan about his lack of experience. It was a throwback to the last time Castiel used a weapon. Think back to Season 5’s finale, when Castiel Molotov’d Adam/Michael.

This moment reminds us that Castiel isn’t used to fighting without his powers. He’s a soldier, but better in hand-to-hand combat. He’s not afraid to state a weakness in this moment, also showing his trust in the Winchesters and Bobby.

Is that what he told you? It’s about the souls.

Eve points out something that Death once told Dean. It’s all about the souls. When Dean made a wager with Death to get Sam’s soul back, the ending give us this hint of what was going on throughout the season. What we didn’t realize was that Crowley was one of those involved in the soul collection.

Even still doesn’t go into the full details. I’m not sure if she even knows why Crowley is collecting souls, why he wants the power. She seems to think that Crowley is the one that wants the power.

Something else that sticks out in this conversation is the discussion of what souls are. They’re not just power, but put together, they’re like the sun. This links to Season 10 when Dean goes with the bomb that is extremely bright when placed inside.

Really, Cas? This is getting ridiculous. How many times am I gonna have to clean up your messes?

Crowley finishes off the episode. As Sam and Bobby suggest that Castiel knows something and is up to something, we finally get to see that there is something going on. Castiel didn’t kill Crowley after all.

This line makes it clear that Crowley has been up to something for a while. And he’s working with Castiel. But why?
