Supernatural ‘fan favorite’ returning to Season 15
A ‘fan favorite’ character is returning to Supernatural Season 15. Who could it be given the details of the tease? Let’s take a look.
There’s a “fan favorite” character returning to Supernatural in the 15th season. Cheatsheet.com shared the news from the summer TCAs, and it’s led to many speculations about who this character could be.
One thing I will make clear is that Cheatsheet shares that the character will return in the premiere. However, the site also says that it’s the episode Jensen Ackles directed. While Ackles directed the first episode of the season being filmed, it will air as Episode 4. We know that Rob Benedict is in this episode, so with the teases and hints, it would make sense that this character will appear in the same episode.

Ackles shares that the “fan favorite” is one that we haven’t seen since Supernatural Season 7. The actor or actress also hasn’t been in the business since. That certainly helps to narrow things down.
The person who fits the “not acted since” part of it is Emily Perkins, who played Becky Rosen on the series. The character isn’t really a fan favorite, but she is a memorable one and connected to Benedict’s Chuck. Perkins last acted in 2014 in When Calls the Heart and Extraterrestrial, and was last seen in Supernatural in “Season Seven, Time for a Wedding.”
Any others that could be considered “fan favorites,” even James Patrick Stewart, who played Dick Roman, are either still in the business or have been on the show since. However, there is the hope that Ackles just got the season number wrong and he means Season 8. This could mean Meg makes an appearance. Despite Rachel Miner’s health issues, the character would be written into the show in some way.
Some of the ideas that have floated around that don’t quite meet every component in the teases include:
- Kevin Tran (Osric Chau has been in the show since Season 7)
- Jo Harvelle (Alona Tal is still in the business)
- Jacob Pond (not really a fan favorite and recent credit was in 2017)
- Garth (DJ Qualls has been in the show since and is still in the business)
There are plenty of fan favorite characters from Supernatural Season 7, but none of them fit other parts of the clues. While Becky isn’t a major fan favorite, she does have some decent connections to Chuck and the Winchesters that could justify bringing her into a Chuck-heavy episode.
