Supernatural Season 6, Episode 4 gave us a look at life for Bobby Singer. Here are the five best lines from the episode.

When it comes to Supernatural, every now and then, the show has managed to give us a look at side characters. However, it’s not often that it goes so deep into a character in the way the show did with Bobby Singer. Here’s a look at the best five lines from Supernatural Season 6, Episode 4.

It shouldn’t be surprising to hear that Bobby definitely has some of the best lines. Jim Beaver owned it throughout this episode.

No, Garth, not me, the FBI. The real FBI! How are you still alive?

You’ve got to chuckle at Garth. We could all tell that Bobby meant the real FBI but somehow Garth completely misunderstood. It’s so great to see how far Garth has come since this point. I do always chuckle at Bobby’s question of how Garth is still alive — we know the Winchesters and Bobby have certainly helped with that.

Oh, good, you’re home! Listen. You gotta help me bury a body.

What a way to see Rufus again. In a way, I wish this was the first time we’d seen him. It probably wouldn’t have been as funny as with already knowing who Rufus is. One of the reasons this episode worked so well was because of the odd mentions of characters we’ve known.

However, having Rufus tell Bobby that he needed help burying a body was the perfect re-introduction to him. Of course, he’d need help with that!

Oh, okey dokey. Wood chipper, that–that pretty much trumps everything.

Rufus gets another line. Honestly, it’s ridiculous that there are all these books on the lore but nobody seems to have thought about a wood chipper. Rufus just sort of shrugs the way that we all felt — of course a wood chipper! It would trump everything.

Sam. Dean. I love you like my own. I do. But sometimes – Sometimes… You two are the whiniest, most self-absorbed sons of bitches I ever met!

Bobby is brilliant in this moment. After everything, he finally breaks. He has always been one to tell it like it is, but this moment sort of changes everything. He’s at his wits end with everything.

This isn’t just about the Winchesters. This is about every hunter who turns to him for help. He’s helped everyone in need but nobody has ever offered to help him. But of all the people, he knew he could say it exactly like it is to the Winchester brothers.

You’ve been cleaning up our messes for years, Bobby. Without you, I don’t even want to think about where me and Sam would’ve ended up.

Dean takes the final line. Despite his thoughts about chick flick moments, he creates many of them, and Bobby pulls him up on it after this line. However, Dean is the one that says exactly what we’re all thinking.

If it wasn’t for Bobby, the Winchesters would have been killed 200 more times than they already had at least. They wouldn’t have had someone to turn to when it came to dealing with Meg the very first time or someone who had helped raise them. This line meant the world to Bobby and to us.
