When Supernatural was first introduced, it quickly gained a cult following. That led to Supernatural: The Anime Series and now you can watch it on The CW Seed.

Once upon a time, Supernatural was a new show that quickly gained a cult following. It’s quickly become one of the most popular shows used for fan fiction and parodies, with various books, merchandise, and more created. One creation was Supernatural: The Anime Series and you can now catch it on The CW Seed.

Yes, this is a series that takes the original SPN storylines and turns them into anime. The same Winchester brothers are included (although some voices differ) and you’ll see many storylines from the first two seasons of the series that you’ve come to know and love.

The downside is that there’s only one season of this anime. A total of 22 episodes take place, sharing some of the fan-favorite episodes from the first two seasons, including “Skin,” “Home,” and “All Hell Breaks Loose.” However, the titles of the episodes are different and the ordering is a little out. That’s the joy of adaptations.

There are also some storylines that are a twist on the original storylines. Some even delve deeper into Sam’s backstory, with one episode focused on Sam meeting Jessica and the secret Jess shared with her friends. In one episode, the Impala breaks down! Yes, really!

Jared Padalecki did the voice of Sam Winchester in 21 of the episodes. Unfortunately, you’ll hear a different Dean. Jensen Ackles only did the voice for the final two episodes of Supernatural: The Anime Series, while Annakin Slayd (billed as Andrew Farrar) did the voice for the other episodes.
