Supernatural Season 14, Episode 8 images: The Winchesters and Castiel worry about Jack

The last episode of Supernatural Season 14 left us all worrying about Jack. With no way to save him, the images for Episode 8 show that there’s plenty of worry from all.

The Winchesters and Castiel are scared in Supernatural Season 14, Episode 8. Titled “Byzantium,” it looks like there’s no hope for Jack. Rowena made it clear that all they can do for him now is be there for him at the end.

Of course, nobody wants to say goodbye to Jack. We refuse to believe that this is the end for our favorite nougat-loving nephilim. The Winchesters and Castiel will fight hard to save him.

This loss is different to all the others. It’s more like losing a son and you can tell that Misha Collins, Jared Padalecki, and Jensen Ackles all thought about how they’d feel if they were told one of their own sons were dying. It’s a heartbreaking, scary thought.

Now the images for Episode 8 are out. There aren’t as many as there have been in the past, but they give us plenty to work with. It’s clear that the Winchesters and Castiel are scared. They want to do anything they can for Jack, sitting by his bedside to make sure he’s not alone as it looks like he’s going to die.

There’s one photo that stands out the most for me from the lot. The three men sit around a table in the bunker drinking whisky. It’s almost like they’re toasting to Jack’s life. And while they’re smiling, there’s a sense that they’re remembering something good from Jack’s short life; something funny that he did or the way he looked at the world with child-like wonder.

Hopefully, this isn’t going to be the end of the road for Jack. Alexander Calvert needs to remain on the show. But right now, things aren’t looking good for the character. It’s one of those cases where it’ll get worse before it gets better.
