Danneel Ackles and Hilarie Burton get the One Tree Hill cast back together for Christmas movie
Danneel Ackles may be known as Sister Jo in Supernatural, but she was known as Rachel Gatina in One Tree Hill. Now she and her co-star Hilarie Burton get the band back together for a Chirstmas movie.
It’s all staying in the family this Christmas. Supernatural‘s Sister Jo is turning lawyer for a Christmas movie with the One Tree Hill cast. It’s the perfect way to get as many of the cast back together without the toxicity that came from the OTH set thanks to a certain showrunner.
And this is a special Christmas movie as it’s certainly in the SPN Family as well as the OTH family. Not only is Danneel Jensen Ackles’ wife, but Hilarie Burton is married to Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who played John Winchester in the first two seasons of the series. Talk about a reunion! Oh, and we can’t forget that Morgan, Burton, and the Ackleses are all best friends in real life.

There have certainly been talks of doing a reboot of the high school drama series, but there’s far too much toxicity for the original cast to even consider it. And to be honest, does it really need rebooting? Of course not! The Christmas movie is a great way to get everyone together and offer something that their kids can watch.

Supernatural fans know that Danneel and Jensen have three children. Burton and Morgan have two together and Antwon Tanner, who will play Danneel’s husband in the Christmas movie, has four. And that’s not even all the One Tree Hill cast in the movie! They definitely played it right with a Christmas movie.
There are two movies to look out for. The Christmas Contract is the one that Danneel and her co-stars were promoting, but you can also look out for ‘Tis the Season: A One Tree Hill Reunion. They’re both out on Nov. 22 on Lifetime.
