Supernatural: Will Claire get closure in Season 14?

During Supernatural’s third episode this season, we caught up with Jody who mentioned Claire having a tough time with Kaia’s death. Will Not!Kaia being around give her closure?

Last season on Supernatural, we all got the treat of a backdoor pilot into a possible spin-off Wayward Sisters. We caught up with everyone we were familiar with, and got to know new characters like Patience and Kaia a little bit better. During that pilot, we watched Claire and Kaia bond, and then a dark creature from the “Bad Place” kill Kaia in front of Claire. The episode ended with the dark creature, who wears the same face as Kaia, coming into our world.

Wayward Sisters didn’t get picked up by The CW, and any hope that we would see an outcome from that revelation kind of got forgotten. Guess we would never know what would happen with this Not!Kaia figure.

Then, in the third episode of Season 14, Supernatural surprised us by reintroducing this dark figure, Not!Kaia, as a means to an end with Michael. Her spear can injure Michael. She’s now integral to the plot.

During this same episode, we caught up with Jody. In conversation with Sam, she mentions that Claire is having a hard time dealing with losing Kaia. “First love comes on fast,” Jody says.

When the dark figure turns out to be the same one that killed Kaia, even though she meant to kill Claire, Jody knows she needs to get back home and tell Claire. That Claire is going to want to get her revenge.

But the question is: will we see Claire face off against Not!Kaia this season?

I’m going to argue that we will. With Not!Kaia running around with the one means to possibly kill Michael, we are bound to see her again. And I’m 100% certain Jody has already told Claire of Not!Kaia’s existence. Even if we don’t catch up with all the Wayward Sisters girls this season, I would guess we’ll run into Claire. That at some point she and the Winchesters are going to run into each other while tracking Not!Kaia.

And when they all catch up with her, which we all know is going to happen, it will be interesting to see what road Claire will take. She’s going to want to avenge the woman she was apparently falling in love with. But will Sam and Dean let her kill Not!Kaia?

And will Claire be able to kill someone who bears the face of the person she lost? I’m guessing she won’t. But that confronting Not!Kaia will lead to the closure she needs in order to move on.
