Mark Sheppard to appear on The Walking Dead?

After Mark Sheppard dropped a bomb on social media about a new project Supernatural fans went nuts. That project may be The Walking Dead however and not The CW series.

It’s good news and bad news for Supernatural fans. Mark Sheppard recently revealed on social media about appearing on a show with some old friends, with the oh so familiar hashtag #SPNFamily. Naturally we all thought he could be returning to the CW series but that direction of thought has now shifted to The Walking Dead.

Mark Sheppard has since posted another message on his Instagram account about being Atlanta bound for his new project; again mentioning old friends. He also put down that he will always be part of the #SPNFamily.

Supernatural is not filmed in Atlanta. It is filmed up in Vancouver, therefore it is with a heavy heart, that we need to rule out that the King of Hell is returning. However, what is filmed in Atlanta is The Walking Dead.

While it might not be Supernatural, The Walking Dead does have its many connections to the #SPNFamily.

The biggest connection being the character Negan on the series, who is played by Jeffery Dean Morgan, a.k.a John Winchester. He has stated that he would love to return to Supernatural after appearing in The Walking Dead.

There is also Lauren Cohan, who played Bela in season 3 of Supernatural as well.

The only thing with all of this is Mark Sheppard has said he is working with “OLD friends.” He never filmed any scenes with either Jeffery Dean Morgan or Lauren Cohan, so unless he got to know them on one of the many Supernatural tours, The Walking Dead might not be the show he is referring to.

Other shows that film in Atlanta include Black Lightning and Legacies (part of The Vampire Diaries franchise).

Yet The Walking Dead does appear to be the most likely destination for the demon who wants to be loved, either way though, it sadly does not look like he will return in Supernatural.
