Is Mark Sheppard returning to Supernatural?

Mark Sheppard just dropped a bomb on social media that suggests he could be returning to Supernatural.
Say it is so. It has been too long, and it’s not quite been the same without Crowley. Mark Sheppard shared via social media that he is returning to a show, and if the all-powerfull Chuck is good, it looks like it maybe Supernatural.
Sheppard obviously departed at the end of season 12, much to the disappointment of many fans. His exit from the series was a big talking point for some time, and as season 13 played out, many fans hoped to see him return.
And Supernatural season 14 could be where he is about to return. Sheppard took to his official Instagram account, and other social media accounts, to share the following announcement. What you should particularly pay attention to is the end of the message.

That big old #SPNFamily just screams out that he is returning to Supernatural.
Of course, we have to take note of the rest of the message; the fact it is still super secret means that we cannot confirm or deny that it is Supernatural that Mark Sheppard is returning to. Although let’s be honest, there is nothing else it could be or that we’d want it to be, right?

The really interesting part of his super secret cryptic message is the fact he is playing a new character. Although I would love to see Crowley back, Mark Sheppard has stated that he would not return to series as the King of Hell/King of the Cross Roads.
There are a number of new characters he could play, Fergus, someone from the Empty, doppelganger, etc, etc. All of them good possibilities, but equally bad as well.
We will have to keep a close eye on Mark to determine all of the facts, but if it is Supernatural that he is returning to, I will be happy at just seeing him back on screen again.
