Supernatural star David Haydn-Jones is now Gabriel

Yup, that’s right. David Haydn-Jones is now Gabriel. The Supernatural star didn’t even wait before the 14th season premiered before taking the archangel’s name!

Richard Speight Jr. is going to be livid when he finds out that the British Men of Letters-turned-hunter is running around using his name. The Supernatural fandom is still trying to accept that Gabriel may be dead and yet here is David Haydn-Jones, rubbing salt into wounds by telling everyone he is the new Gabriel. Sorry mate, but we are onto you. Stop stealing names and go back to being Ketch.

So, in case you didn’t quite realize, because sometimes I don’t always get my point across properly, the above paragraph is a bit of a joke. Yes, David-Haydn Jones is telling everybody he is called Gabriel, but not because he is replacing Richard Speight Jr. in Supernatural. It’s because of his new gig with State Farms.

Haydn-Jones is currently appearing in a new round of advertisements for State Farm and in these ads, his name is Gabe Gabriel. I would love to know if he had a hand in choosing the name or if this is one big coincidence. Mr. Haydn-Jones, if you are reading this, please let us know.

Anyway, in these adverts, he is the sports agent of Aaron Rodgers. State Farm is also an agent of Aaron Rodgers’ and Gabriel is not happy about this and an ‘Agent v Agent’ rivalry is about to get underway.

The ad that David Haydn-Jones first appeared thing was the first of many. Each new ad we will see will see this rivalry between the two agents grow, with plenty of grand gestures and hilarious moments to happen throughout. It’s a great idea for an ad campaign that certainly gets the public attention, but sadly, it probably will not get the attention of the SPN Family, because David Haydn-Jones is Ketch, not Gabriel.
