Supernatural Season 14 filming spoilers: What’s happened to Castiel?
With Supernatural Season 14 filming underway, we’re getting a few spoilers of the things to expect. Misha Collins took to Twitter to talk about GISH, but we’re concerned about our feathery friend.
Supernatural Season 14 filming is now underway. Tuesday was the first day and we’ve already had a couple of filming spoilers drop. The first is that one of the early scenes is going to be in the Men of Letters bunker and the second is to do with Castiel. Misha Collins took to Twitter about GISH, but we’re more concerned about his rough day at work.
It certainly looks like makeup has had fun on the very first day. Collins did a video to discuss the last days to register for GISH, still covered in the bloody and bruised makeup. This suggests that our feathery friend is going to get into a fight or two in the first couple of episodes. It’s hard to tell if the filming yesterday was definitely the premiere episode, as filming is often done out of order due to schedules and constraints.

To be honest, seeing Castiel bloody and bruised isn’t too surprising. Supernatural Season 13 saw him become the tough soldier again. He made decisions that nobody else wanted to and stepped up to fight more frequently. This is something many fans have wanted to see more of and now it looks like we’re getting it early in Supernatural Season 14.

Considering he’s an angel, there are only a few types of creatures and beings that will be able to do this sort of damage. There are high chances that Cass, Sam and a few others are going up against Michael!Dean. The bloody and bruised face will mean he’s taken a few hits. This early in the filming, it’s highly unlikely something more permanent has happened to him, but it’s going to set up the anticipation for Michael!Dean to be the strongest foe Team Free Will has faced in recent years.
One thing this does tell us is that the upcoming season is going to start in an intense way. Hold onto your hats, SPN Family.
