The introduction of fairy tales in Supernatural Season 3 brought many fun lines and moments. There are certainly some lines that remain popular across the fandom. Here are the six best lines from the episode.

Supernatural Season 3, Episode 5 brought fairy tales with a ghostly twist. When looking back at the episode, it really is a creepy one. However, there are so many lines that keep it light and funny. Some of these lines are ones that stand out for fans around the world. They’re proving to stand the test of time.

This is a chance to look back over those lines. Here are the six best lines from “Bedtime Stories.”

This things he can do with a pen?

Let’s start with the first line you probably think of when watching this episode. When getting the details about the “werewolf” attack, the victim assumes that one of them is the sketch artist. Of course, Dean decides that Sam is the one who can do wonders with a pen.

There is an annoying moment in this for me. Remember Sam drawing the tree in Supernatural Season 1, Episode 9? He had some skills, so the drawing surely shouldn’t have been as bad as it was.

This guy. He killed my brothers. How would you feel?

The victim and Sam have a heartfelt moment. We all know just how Sam is feeling in this moment. He’s scared he’s going to lose his brother. This moment is the foreshadowing for the end of the episode, when Sam takes the Colt and kills the crossroad demon.

I think that, uh… Could’ve… Yeah, I got nothing.

Just what are they dealing with? Sam tries his hardest to figure it out and figure out why demons would stop mid-attack. Rather than try to waffle his way through, he just admits that he doesn’t have anything. While this line doesn’t stand out, it’s the scene as a whole and the delivery of it.

See the Grimm Brothers’ stuff was kinda the folklore of its day, full of sex, violence, cannibalism. Now, it got sanitized over the years, turned into Disney flicks and bedtime stories.

As a Grimm Brothers fan, I love that Sam brought this up. We got to see him being smart again and had the chance to have him explain the lore. Plus, there was the dig at Disney. If you’ve ever read the fairy tales, you’ll know how dark and scary they are.

I’m gonna stop the big bad wolf, which is the weirdest thing I’ve ever said!

Dean got a few excellent lines in the episode. One of those was a mention of the Big Bad Wolf. It would feel strange to say it, so he did say everything we thought. Once again, it was the delivery of this line that stands out in this Supernatural Season 3 episode.

It’s not my style… That’s not the original Colt. Where did you get that?

The crossroad demon finishes off the best lines in the episode. She takes one look at the Colt and realizes that it’s not the original one. What I’d love to know is why she would know that. Was this the crossroad demon that made the deal with John via Azazel? Did she get to see that Colt? This is something we’ll probably never get the answer to.
