Supernatural Season 2 was full of some recognizable faces. Here are the most memorable guest stars in the series.

While we’ve looked at the guest stars you’ve possibly forgotten about, Supernatural Season 2 also had some of the most memorable guest stars of the whole series. For this, we’re looking at those with smaller roles in the second season–so not your recurring guests like Sam Ferris, Alona Tal, Jim Beaver, etc. Richard Speight Jr. also isn’t included, considering the type of character he’s since become.

These stars are the ones that have made an impact on the story and continue to be ones that we look back on with fond (and sometimes infuriating) memories. Here are the five most memorable guest stars on Supernatural Season 2.

Amber Benson

More from Supernatural

In “Bloodlust,” two of the most memorable guest stars were introduced. The first on this list is definitely Amber Benson. She was one of multiple Buffy the Vampire Slayer actors to guest star on the series–and now we really need an actual Supernatural/Buffy the Vampire Slayer crossover.

Benson played Lenore, a vegetarian vampire and leader of others who followed the same path. Well, while they do drink blood so they’re not technically vegetarians, they drink the blood of animals and that makes them good.

She would show up again in the sixth season, still attempting to follow her morally good ways. However, Eve had made things extremely difficult for her.

Sterling K. Brown

It makes me smile to see Sterling K. Brown in This Is Us now, because he is a good character in that series. He was also a good character in the series I first remember him in; Army Wives. However, in Supernatural Season 2, he’s become one of the most memorable for his evil ways.

Brown is Gordon Walker, hunter with a black and white view on the magical world. He doesn’t care if creatures choose to be good. They’re inherently bad because they’re monsters and supernatural beings. This doesn’t bode well for Sammy, who is one of the Special Children.

Linda Blair

It’s not possible to forget the queen of supernatural horror movies in the series. Linda Blair took on the role of Diana Ballard in the seventh episode of the season. While investigating murders, she and her partner captured Sam and Dean Winchester. What she learned was that the supernatural world was real and that her partner was a dirty cop.

Blair captured our hearts. She was strong but fair. While she initially believed Dean and Sam were guilty, she knew there was something they weren’t telling him and trusted both when the death omen came to her.

Katharine Isabelle

If you grew up watching horror movies, one of those you’d definitely have caught would have been Ginger Snaps. This was the first show/movie I remember seeing Katharine Isabelle in, so naturally, she stood out as a guest star for me. However, she also stands out as the Special Child that acts very much in the way that many of us would have when faced with the kill or be killed situation.

Isabelle played Ava, a Special Child with the same abilities as Sam. In the second episode Sterling K. Brown shows up in, she comes to save Sam after having a vision of his death. She also learns there are more like her and is a bit of a goody-two-shoes until she learns the thrill of stealing confidential information. This really was foreshadowing for what she’d turn out like when captured by the Yellow-Eyed Demon.

Emmanuelle Vaugier

In the 17th episode, it finally looked like Sammy was going to get a good relationship. He fell for werewolf Madison, played by Emmanuelle Vaugier, who Charmed fans would have certainly recognized. Unfortunately, there wasn’t a cure for the disease and he had to make one of the most heartbreaking decisions: to accept her wish to kill her.

This was before we learned it was possible to live as a werewolf. Well, before it became acceptable. At this point, she was too scared to hurt anyone and Dean wasn’t the biggest fan of a werewolf being out. Oh, how times have changed. Do you think Sam thinks back to this and wishes they’d fought harder for her to live her life?
