Supernatural Season 2 made more use of recurring guest stars throughout the series, but there are some you may have forgotten about the first time around.

More guest stars recurred in roles in Supernatural Season 2 than in the first season. However, there were still many one-off appearances. While you’ll certainly remember the likes of Samantha Ferris, Alona Tal, and Sterling K. Brown, but there were many others who you’ve likely overlooked.

Some you may just not have realized the appearances were in the second season. Others you’ll just not have put the name to the face unless you’ve watched over and over again. Even then, it’s easy to get a couple of names and faces confused!

With that in mind, here are 11 guest stars you forgot were in Supernatural Season 2.

Ty Olsson

Wait, Ty Olsson was in Supernatural Season 2? But he played Benny and that wasn’t until Season 8, right? Well, yes, he was in the second season and he played another vampire. Unfortunately, it wasn’t Benny—unless we can pretend that Benny went under another name for the episode as a cover, hearing about the Winchesters and choosing to stay away from them.

Ty was one of Lenore’s vampires in “Bloodlust,” the first episode Sterling K. Brown’s Gordon Walker appeared in.

Tricia Helfer

This was one I overlooked for a very long time. It wasn’t until watching back this time that I suddenly thought she looked a lot like Charlotte from Lucifer. Sure enough, Tricia Helfer is one and the same. Helfer played Molly McNamara in “Roadkill” and really shouldn’t be one of those actresses you overlooked. This was the moment you realized that not all spirits were evil and sometimes they were just stuck in ghost loops.

What’s even better about Helfer as a guest star is that Richard Speight Jr. was in the second season for the first time and he supports the #SaveLucifer campaign—the show Helfer was recently in!

Kate Jennings Grant

More from Supernatural

If you watch Notorious, you’ll recognize Kate Jennings Grant as Louise Herrick. She has also had guest star appearances in the likes of Elementary, Parenthood, and Commander in Chief. When it comes to Supernatural Season 2, she’s known as Dr. Amanda Lee in “Croatoan.” She was the doctor that tested Sam’s blood to see if he was infected or not.

Conchita Campbell

Think you might recognize the girls from “Playthings” if you saw them now? Conchita Campbell played Maggie and is definitely one the 4400 fans will recognize. She was Maia Skouris in the series. She also played Kennedy in two episodes of Bates Motel.

Torrance Coombs

There are a few actors in “Hollywood Babylon” that you may have forgotten about and Torrance Coombs is one of them. Best known for roles in other CW shows like Reign and The Originals, this was actually one of his first appearances on TV! Supernatural would lead to jPod, Battlestar Galactica, and then The Tudors, which he certainly is best known for because of his role as Katherine Howard’s lover, Thomas Culpepper.

Annie Wersching

There are a number of Supernatural actors in Timeless, and Annie Wersching is one of them. Eric Kripke certainly likes working with those he’s worked with in the past. Now she’s known as Emma Whitmore in Timeless and a pain in the backside for the Time Team. In Supernatural, she was the mother in the episode “Playthings.”

Wersching also has a good relationship with The CW, as she is known as Lily Salvatore by The Vampire Diaries fandom. Marvel’s fans will recognize her as Leslie Dean in Hulu’s Runaways.

Jeff Kober

Folsom Prison Blues” gave us Jeff Kober as a guest star and he is certainly one of my favorite actors to guest star in TV shows. The first time I remember seeing him was in Charmed, but he’d also popped up in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Walker, Texas Ranger, and many more before Supernatural. Since our favorite show, he’s been in the likes of New Girl, The Walking Dead, Sons of Anarchy, and some movies.

Garwin Sanford

In Supernatural Season 2, Garwin Sanford guest starred as Deacon, the prison guard who had called the Winchesters in and helped them escape. However, he was in a future Supernatural episode. Go forward to Season 6, “The French Mistake.” He played Jim Michaels in the episode.

You’ll also recognize him in roles of Arrow, When Calls the Heart, and Once Upon a Time in Wonderland.

Gary Cole

Another from “Hollywood Babylon,” Gary Cole is possibly one you overlook because of the change in appearance in recent years. I had to do a double take the most recent watch-through. Cole is currently known as Chief Grissom in Chicago Fire and Kent Davidson in Veep. However, you’ll also recognize the voice from Family Guy, Bob’s Burgers and The Tom and Jerry Show.

Oh, and let’s not forget that he did voices for Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated. I just had to throw that one in after “Scoobynatural.”

Michelle Borth

Next, we have Michelle Borth, who was in “What Is and What Should Never Be.” She was Dean’s dream girl in the episode; the girl that he would have loved to keep had it not been for the need to return to the real world. However, she’s best known as Lt. Catherine Rollins in Hawaii Five-0 now.

Melanie Scrofano

Finally, it’s all about the woman who plays the lead in Wynonna Earp. She played “Near-Dead Girl” in Episode 20. Her role was so small (albeit important for Dean) that she didn’t even get a name! It was also one of her earlier works and afterwards, she would move into Saw IV.

She’s had a number of guest roles in other shows and been in a few movies. As well as Wynonna Earp recently, she’s also been in the Canadian comedy Letterkenny, with another Supernatural actor. It’s a small world!
