Supernatural Season 13 finale makes it to Nielsen Social Top 5
There was good news Friday after that Supernatural Season 13 finale. We made it to the Nielsen Social Top 5.
Thursday, May 17 gave us the Supernatural Season 13 finale and that meant one thing: one more chance in Season 13 to make it to the Nielsen Social Top 5. The SPN Family had missed it the previous week, despite an intense episode. However, the finale took a place in the Top 5 for the last week.
The previous week wasn’t to do with a quiet night. It just happened to be the finales of a number of shows or extremely intense episodes of others. Plus, Instagram data isn’t being collected at the moment for some reason and that’s where a lot of Supernatural fans chat from throughout the episode.

May 17 was also a big night for other shows, so there was a little bit of worry without Instagram data being included again. It was the Grey’s Anatomy, S.W.A.T. and Arrow season finales. Would Supernatural take over any of them?
The great news is we ended up third in the table. We were a little behind Grey’s Anatomy and S.W.A.T but compared to the previous week’s data, there is a chance we’ll also hit the Nielsen Social Top 10 for the week with the figures that we got.

We came away with 236,000 mentions throughout the night. A total of 65,000 of those mentions were from Facebook and Twitter made up the other 171,000 mentions.
The finale also made the Twitter Moments and was trending around the world at various points through the night. It was a strong night.
Nielsen Social will count mentioned from Supernatural Season 14
This will be it now for a while. We’re all still encouraged to tweet about the series, but nothing will be officially counted towards the Nielsen Social Top 5 or 10 list. Nielsen only counts mentions when new episodes air live on the channels. The lists will be back in the fall.
