Has Robert Singer hinted Jack is sticking around in Supernatural?

The Supernatural cast and showrunners took to PaleyFest to discuss Supernatural Season 13, Scoobynatural and more. There may have been some clues about Jack’s fate in one of the comments.

PaleyFest 2018 saw Supernatural attend for the first time in seven years. It was awesome and there were so many fun stories that came from the panel. There were also some hints for things to expect moving forward. One of those may have been about Jack.

During the panel, Robert Singer was asked about Alexander Calvert’s auditioning process and why he was chosen. He mentioned how they knew at casting that Jack was going to be a full-season role. He then went on to say this could be a role for years into the future, hinting that they want Jack to remain around for a while.

This goes against the idea that Jack will remain in the Apocalypse World. While he may want to help save the humans against the angels, he may find a way to bring an end to the problems and then return to the Winchesters and Castiel.

It wouldn’t be surprising if Jack remained around for future seasons. This is a character the fans took to almost immediately. While there were some fears that he would turn out evil, the moment he said his father was Castiel was everything the fandom needed to know that he wanted to be good. Unless Calvert wanted to leave, it would be ridiculous for the showrunners to get rid of him.
