Samantha Ferris shares her thanks for a special Supernatural Las Vegas con
Samantha Ferris was one of the special guests at #SPNLV, and it wasn’t just the fans who were excited about it.
Samantha Ferris is best known as Ellen Harvelle in the #SPNFamily. Last seen in Supernatural Season 6, it’s very rare to see her at a convention. In fact, the last convention she appeared in was Dragon*Con, according to Supernatural Wiki. That was way back in 2011, so #SPNLV has been a long time coming.
It wasn’t just fans excited to see Ferris back on the con circuit. Ferris was excited herself and she shared a thank you message to the fans on Twitter for making this one so special. As many of the former guest stars note, even when they haven’t been around for years, there’s a special kind of family within the fandom.

Ferris topped the thank you with one of the best photos. It’s an outtake of that family photo from Supernatural Season 5, “Abandon All Hope.” This is one of those bittersweet memories for the fans, as it’s the last happy moment for the characters, as both Ferris’ and Alona Tal’s characters, Ellen and Jo, are killed during the episode.
The Canadian actress hasn’t shared if she’ll do another convention yet. There are many more to come and hopes that she will join the circuit again. Creation Ents. will always keep the door open for such a special member of the cast, but it will all depend on schedule, location and timing.

Many fans have called for a reunion between Ferris, Tal and Chad Lindberg, getting Ellen, Jo and Ash back together. This is something Ferris and Lindberg have both shown an interest through Twitter about, so you never know!
