The largest movie franchise in history owes everything to Supernatural hunters Sam and Dean Winchester. Sort of.

There are plenty of people out there in the world that owe their lives to Sam and Dean Winchester. The Supernatural brothers have been saving people and hunting things for so long now that you have to wonder what a world would be like without them.

Of course, this is TV land and not actual reality but let us assume for one brief moment that all TV shows and movies are real. They co-exist among one another. If that was the case then Star Wars would not be the Star Wars we know of without Supernatural.

Supernatural saved Star Wars, sort of

The Han Solo movie, Solo: A Star Wars Story, is the latest upcoming movie in the Star Wars franchise. An origin story of the legendary smuggler Han Solo, who helped bring down the notorious Darth Vader and The Empire.

Well, none of that would have been possible if Sam and Dean had not been around to hunt a pesky Wendigo way back in Season 1 of Supernatural. Why? Because Han Solo, or at least a younger version of him, was there.

Alden Ehrenreich, the actor cast to play Han Solo in the upcoming movie, was the brother of the guy that has taken by a Wendigo. He too was almost killed by the supernatural creature if it weren’t for Sam and Dean.

This means that if Sam and Dean had not killed that Wendigo then Ehrenreich would have been killed. Therefore the Young Han Solo was already dead before Star Wars even began. So Han Solo would never have existed and Obi-Wan and Luke Skywalker may have never left the planet Tatooine, meaning the plans for the Death Star would have never got to the rebellion and ultimately the defeat of the rebel alliance would follow suit. Ultimately changing Star Wars history.

Again, this all assumes that TV and movies are totally real and interconnect with one another. Sadly it is not, but it is nice to think that Star Wars only exists because of Supernatural.
