Supernatural is crossing over with Scooby-Doo, and now we know more about the episode everyone is going to be watching.

When television shows talk about crossing over, it doesn’t always work out the way we envision. Sometimes it doesn’t even work out at all; did you know that X-Files and Picket Fences were supposed to crossover despite the shows airing on two different networks?

The CW isn’t afraid to crossover shows, as we’ve seen a few of its DC properties mesh together with a lot of success. Supernatural is spinning off into Wayward Sisters, which doesn’t count as a crossover, but fans of the show won’t have to worry about missing out.

Last year it was revealed that Supernatural and Scooby-Doo were going to crossover in an episode — and now we know more about it.

The airdate, episode title, and script cover have been revealed and it’s all kinds of intriguing.

It’s not much, but it’s enough to get us all excited for what’s to come. Also, calling the episode “Scooby-natural” is probably the best thing the show has done in a long time — and it’s done a lot of good.

As someone who isn’t totally invested in the Superatural world, this is a hardcore must-watch. That’s important, as this episode could serve as a portal for people who might be unfamiliar with the show to give it a chance.

At the end of the day — fan or not — this is one of the most ambitious and creative crossovers in television history. There doesn’t seem to be a lot in common between the shows on the surface, but there will be plenty to like once we finally see the episode air.

Supernatural continues on Thursdays at 8/7c on The CW.
