The promo and synopsis for Supernatural Season 13, Episode 11 is out, but what can we expect from the episode?

It’s another week and another promo for Supernatural. After the exciting winter premiere, all eyes are on what the Winchesters will do next. As shared by showrunner Andrew Dabb previously, Donna will feature heavily in the episode and this is her story to join the Wayward Sisters. But all eyes are currently on the story for the episode. Just what can fans expect based on the promo and synopsis?

The Winchesters are still needed

While the Winchesters were the ones who were saved in the last episode, they’re still the ones that need to do the saving more often than not. Donna makes a call to the hunting brothers when her niece goes missing.

More from Supernatural

What this really shows is the trust she has in these two. While she could have called for Jody and the Wayward women, she has chosen the two with the most experience. She knows that they can get to the bottom of it and do have an excellent track record for saving innocent people.

Donna has pulled other people into the hunt

She’s not the only one in Minnesota who knows about monsters. During the trailer, the three hunters and two other men watch a video of a man slicing off human parts. These men clearly aren’t shocked at Donna and the Winchesters discussing monsters, suggesting that they already know.

The big question is how? Did Donna just recently tell them about the supernatural? Are they connected to other victims somehow? Maybe they’re other hunters who have learned about the case. It wouldn’t be the first time Sam and Dean come across other hunters on the same cases.

There are some sick humans out there

Honestly, this is nothing new. Supernatural Season 1 made it very clear that not all monsters were part of the supernatural. Humans can be the worst and it looks like that will be the case in “Breakdown.” The villain the Winchesters and Donna will go after looks to be a human cutting people up and selling parts to humans.

It’s twisted and sick, but shows the deeper side to the monster network. There’s a black market just for monsters. But how many humans will also be involved in this black market?

There’s still no Castiel

A lot of fans want to know when Castiel will be back. We get him for a couple of episodes and then he is gone for episodes on end. We knew it wouldn’t be likely that he’d appear in the winter finale, but what about the next episode?

Well, it doesn’t look like it’s going to be the case either. The episode looks mostly focused on the case of the week. Of course, that doesn’t mean glimpses of Hell can’t be included. It just doesn’t look like it’s going to happen. Maybe next week.

There may not be any Jack and Mary

Likewise, Jack’s fate in the Apocalypse World is still unknown. The last we saw, he landed at Mary’s feet. He will soon learn all about Apocalypse Michael and the danger that comes to rushing into situations without fully thinking about it. But it doesn’t look like that will be this week.

Again, like Castiel, he’s not in the trailer. This doesn’t mean he definitely won’t be shown, but as of right now it doesn’t look like the Apocalypse World will be entered until the next week. Hopefully there will be some conversations about getting Jack (and Mary) back.

It’s still all about family

The last few seasons have been very heavy on the family focus. This isn’t a bad thing, as it’s what Supernatural has always been based on. The focus is going to continue in “Breakdown.” Donna’s niece is the victim, leading to her calling in the Calvary. Of course, Donna is family, which makes her niece family for the Winchesters.

On top of that, the promo images show us that Sam is going to be taken. It means big brother to the rescue, yet again. Maybe this storyline is getting a little bit old. Can it be the other way around for once?

Check out the promo and synopsis below to make your own thoughts on the episode:

"Donna (guest star Briana Buckmaster) calls Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) for help after her niece, Wendy (guest star Sarah Dugdale), goes missing. The three hunters discover Wendy was kidnapped by a man who sells human parts to monsters in a grotesque online auction and race to save her before it is too late."
