It’s Day 11 of Cas-mas and it’s time to look at the bloopers Misha Collins was involved in while filming Supernatural.

One of the best parts of the Supernatural DVDs is the bloopers. There are just so many! I love that the directors keep filming some of the excellent bloopers, such as Jensen Ackles’ “Eye of the Tiger” routine and that season 1 finale blooper of the Ackles and Jared Padalecki rolling around in the back of the Impala when they pretend to be hit by the truck.

When Misha Collins joined the cast, many of the bloopers involved him. Ackles and Padalecki chose to gang up on his with pranks, which he has taken like a pro. He has fun with them (clearly), so we like to have fun along with the group. Not all the best bloopers are due to J&J, though. There are many that are pure Collins having fun on set.

So, here’s a look at the best Misha Collins bloopers in Supernatural for Day 11 of Cas-mas.

All the times Misha has explained the situation

It’s hard to choose between some of the bloopers, as they involve the same thing: Jared throwing Misha off any chance he gets. If you haven’t checked out our interview with Rukiya Bernard, you’ll want to, as she explains Jared does this to everyone. Although throwing Misha off is a whole new level.

During filming, Misha will often put his hand or foot in precarious places. The best thing about them, Misha constantly tells the crew just what his co-star is doing. He wants to make sure everyone knows just why he’s come out of character and is struggling to film.

They’re great bloopers as they tell us more about what goes on behind the scenes. They show us the friendship the co-stars have.

Pulling faces between takes

There’s never a dull moment on the set of Supernatural it seems. There have been plenty of times between takes the camera continues to roll and it’s possible to see some of the things they actors get up to. One of those is the faces Misha pulls.

The best one has to be when he is up against the Impala window and pushes his mouth against it. It’s an odd Puffer Fish type face that he pulls and has become an extremely popular GIF or photo still. Yes, we’ve used it a few times on the SPN Hunters social media just to say “hi.”

It’s a parade!

Sometimes things don’t quite go to plan during filming. Or events happen that the actors may not quite have expected at first. One of those was around seasons 4 and 5 when Misha is holding a slumped over Jensen (as Cass is supporting an injured Dean). Papers go flying and I can’t remember right now whether it’s because angels have flown out or there’s been some sort of explosion onscreen.

Regardless of the reason, the actors chuckle at the papers flying around. Misha comes out of character to shout, “confetti; it’s a parade!” The next time you try to say “it’s a parade,” try not to do it with Misha’s voice in your head.

The worm-stache

During filming on location one night, Misha finds a worm in the ground. J&J want him to eat it, which is very juvenile behavior but you can’t tell me you didn’t think the same thing. It’s one of those friend things where we try to convince people to do gross dares.

Misha of course refuses to eat it, but he doesn’t just put the worm back on the ground. He puts it above his lip, stating he’ll wear it as a worm-stache. If anyone doubts that Misha is in on the pranks, this is one instance that proves he certainly loves joking around with J&J too.

Alexander Calvert’s initiation into the show

The most recent bloopers have to be included in the list. Misha isn’t the only one who ends up being pranked on set or being made to laugh with ad-libs and hand gestures. Alexander Calvert has been pulled into the SPNFamily with J&J’s own initiation. However, it’s a Misha blooper because Misha is involved in some of the scenes from “Tombstone.”

Misha tries his hardest not to laugh at ad-libs and hand gestures, but he just can’t help himself. At one point he even jokes that he may have “PTSD” from all the jokes in the past, as he also tells Calvert that it’s not easy working with the two main stars of the show and it “never gets better.” It’s definitely an initiation to remember and a relatively tame one with all things considered.
